Members can compete for a Club Championship each year, which is conducted under match conditions ISSF Rules (Internations Sports Shooting Federation (ISSF).
For both 10 m Air Rifle and 50 m prone on the 3rd and 4th Saturdays of each month.
Shooters for both matchers have to be signed in and ready to start at 9:00 am under the control of the Chef Range Office. There is a possible 10 matches per year and you must shoot in 6 to be considered in the Club Championship.
We will aim to run classes covering everyone, as long as there are at least two competitors in the class:
Off-hand
Supported - using the normal range stands, open sights, prone or seated at a bench (for 50m)
Bench - scopes
Junior
Match scores will be announced on the day and there will be small prizes for class winners.
For those who can only compete on one Saturday in the month, there will be an air competition detail run after the 50m on the fourth Saturday, scores will count towards the Club Championship
If any of our Club Championship shoots conflict with other competition held on the range. Club members can enter their score from the competition. To go towards the club championship. Provided the member informs a club committee members before the event and nominates which events will count towards club championship.
Club members can shoot each week to practice and hone there skills and there are various other competitions, that are held during the year that our club members can compete in as well, these are advertised in our calendar on our web page www.brisbanerifleclub.com and on the QTS web page (link below).
These events are graded A,B,C and D grade and you are graded depending on an average of your last five total scores. The higher the average the higher the grade you shoot in.
Note:- There is no pressure to compete at all you are free to casually shoot and not enter a score card at all.
